Job summary

Hickory Senior Living Management, LLC is seeking a dedicated kitchen chef to prepare meals for residents in Montgomery in accordance with approved menus and recipes, while following federal, state, and local guidelines.

You will assist in menu planning, prepare dishes for service with attention to nutrition, portion control, and appealing presentation, and maintain sanitation and safety in the kitchen; some overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of related work experience, preferably in restaurant or food service.
• Baking skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning menus.
• Prepare food per planned menus and recipes.
• Maintain quality, nutrition, and portion control.
• Ensure proper temperature and appealing taste.
• Maintain sanitation and safety in kitchen areas.
• Assist in cleaning cooking area and equipment.
• Consult with Supervisor on menu and care planning.
• Meet schedule requirements (attendance and punctuality).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
