Job summary

Campbell's Resort in Lake Chelan seeks a skilled Baker to prepare and bake items for all service areas. The role requires early morning starts (as early as 4am) and collaboration with prep, line, and banquet teams to maintain quality and presentation.

The Baker designs, executes, and improves recipes, with emphasis on consistency and efficiency. Variable hours, with health benefits after one year and 1456 hours worked, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.

• Must have or obtain Food Handler's permit within 14 days.

Responsibilities

• Bake and prepare bakery products to recipes.
• Rotate, prepare, and store food properly.

Reports to: Baker, sous chef, banquet chef, executive chef

Pay rate: $18.00 to $19.00 DOE

Position type: Variable hours – health benefits after 1 year and 1456 hours worked.

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Enthusiastic about preparing and baking food.
• Able to begin shift in early morning, as early as 4am when necessary.
• Working with the prep cooks, line cooks and banquet team while maintaining a lever of professionalism.
• Good listening, and written and English verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle deadlines and maintain composure under stress.
• A current Food Handler's permit is required within 14 days of hire.
• Self-motivated: can find work to do without constant supervision.
• Able to maintain a positive mental attitude.
• Detail oriented is a must.

Physical Requirements

• Constant standing and walking.
• Occasional pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, lifting and stooping, stair climbing.
• Requires working taste buds, ability to smell, feel with fingers and visually inspect including close and distance vision. The position requires the ability o use arms, hands, and manipulate fingers to reach, stir, measure, pour, cut, chop, dice, decorate, etc.
• Able to safely lift 50 pounds.

• Properly bake and prepare products. Follow written production area guidelines for quality, value, service and cleanliness.
• Know how to rotate, prepare, and store food.
• Properly handle storage and movement of product to work area.

• Communicate to the Chef when you need supplies for baking projects.
• Check stock to ensure an adequate supply based on projected volume. Always check with your immediate supervisor to ensure accuracy of stock levels.

• Arrive on time and be ready to work when your shift begins.
• Wear a clean uniform and maintain a clean, well‑groomed, neat appearance.
• Ask for help when you need it.
• Act as a role model for employees at all time. Follow written job standards.
• Help control waste, labor and food costs.
• Identify problems and recommend solutions to the supervisor.
• Be knowledgeable about Campbell's services and history and Lake Chelan recreational opportunities to answer guests' questions.
• Help enforce internal security, suggest improvements to managers.
• Read and understand B.E.O. sheets.
• Assist the Head Baker in cooking and preparations of Bread, Cakes, Pastries, and other items.

We are searching for skilled, creative Bakers who strive to provide excellent baked items and service in an efficient and professional manner. The Baker will design, execute, and improve recipes, perform quality checks on ingredients, and finished products, use icing, glazes, fillings, and decorations to enhance item presentation and process orders from customers.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a variable‑hour position, expected work hours are based on seasonal volume, business demand, and hours of operation. Weekends and holidays are also necessary. Must be flexible and willing to adapt schedule to meet business demands.
