Job summary

Nugget Markets is seeking dedicated bakers to join our bakery team in California. This full-time position features early-morning shifts starting as early as 1:00am, with opportunities at Granite Bay, Roseville - Pleasant Grove, Roseville - Blue Oaks, Rocklin, or West Sacramento.

You will bake, merchandise and package bagels, croissants, cookies and pastries, load carts, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate ovens and mixers while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Must have basic math skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Intermediate product knowledge including knowledge of temperature, chemical reactions, and bakery products.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic understanding of English language, reading instructions, schedules and signage.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• A positive attitude is essential.

Responsibilities

The baker's primary responsibilities include baking, merchandising and packaging goods such as bagels, croissants, cookies and other pastries. This will include loading carts and racks with product; lifting and stacking flour; and operating all kitchen machinery including ovens, proofers, and mixers while maintaining a clean, sanitary and attractive work environment. They will also assist the bakery clerks and provide world-class service to our guests as needed.
