Job summary

The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium is seeking a Part-Time Baker in Toledo, OH. The role involves assisting in bakery production and ensuring guests have a quality experience in our Food Services area.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of bakery-related work, a positive attitude, and are able to work weekdays, weekends, and some holidays. You must be at least 18 and able to lift up to 50 pounds while standing for 8 hours.

Qualifications

• One to three years of experience working in a bakery or related experience is preferred.
• Possesses a strong drive and an eagerness to take on new responsibilities and challenges.
• Keeps a positive attitude and promotes such attitude to staff
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to be insured through Zoo fleet carrier.
• Work scheduled may include weekdays, weekends, and some holidays.
• Have the physical ability to lift 50 pounds and work on their feet for 8 hours a day.
• The Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace, including marijuana.

Baker (Part-Time)

The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium has been educating, inspiring, and providing enjoyment to our community for over 100 years. Our Food Services department is currently seeking a Part- Time Baker who is passionate about learning new things and giving our guests the best possible experience.

This position reports to the Senior Food Services Manager- Concessions, is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over forty (40) in a work week.

Minimum Training and Experience

• One to three years of experience working in a bakery or related experience is preferred.
