Job Title: Bakery Associate

Pay Range: $15.00 - $18.62 per hour

General Purpose

To perform bakery-related duties ensuring quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Follow departmental and store policies and procedures.
2. Ensure the quality and freshness of all bakery products and services.
3. Maintain appropriate product assortment and inventory levels.
4. Verify pricing accuracy and signage, especially for promotional items.
5. Clean and sanitize the bakery daily to meet company standards.
6. Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
7. Follow production sheets to ensure adequate levels of baked products.

Marginal Duties & Responsibilities

Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Daily interaction with store associates and customers.

Training & Qualifications

Successful performance requires the ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are preferred:

• High school diploma or GED preferred; baking experience preferred.
• Enjoy working with bakery products and following recipes.
• Basic math skills for recipe adjustments.
• Knowledge of baking procedures and timing.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.

Physical & Sensory Demands

Work is performed in a store environment with exposure to hot, cold, slippery, and wet conditions. Physical activities include grasping, pushing, pulling, carrying (up to 50 pounds), stooping, twisting, crouching, reaching, and repetitive motions. Must be able to stand, walk, and bend throughout the shift, with good coordination.
