Our bakery plays a pivotal role in crafting unforgettable experiences for guests' events and everyday moments alike, ranging from special occasions to everyday indulgences. Providing excellent guest service is at the heart of what we do. Whether it’s a friendly greeting, answering questions or addressing guest concerns, you’ll handle each interaction with professionalism and care. Your willingness to help guests with what they need will make a positive impact every day.

What You’ll Do
  • Recipe & Production Control Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items. Monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage.
  • Health & Safety Adhere to all Health Department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices. Maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage.
  • Guest Service Provide excellent customer service to our guests by assisting them with finding items, taking special orders, and addressing concerns. Answer phone calls with proper etiquette and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Stock Monitoring Keep an eye on stock levels and service floor needs, ensuring proper assortment and production-level, especially for early mornings and evenings.
  • Quality Standards Maintain food safety logs and ensure all quality standards, including quantity expectations, are met by 10 am and 5 pm daily.
  • Team Collaboration Work closely with all Bakery associates to meet department goals and support a positive team environment.
  • Honor Commitments Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
  • Support the Team Other duties as assigned

  • Customer Focus Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnel.
  • Effective Problem-Solving Ability to quickly assess and resolve issues in a dynamic and stressful work environment, while supporting team members.
  • Safety Awareness Comprehensive understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies, including proper training on ovens, lifting techniques, trash compactor, baler, mixers, slicing and packaging machinery, and other equipment.
  • Retail Expertise Knowledge of the retail food business and perishable department operations, with the ability to make timely and effective decisions.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Physical Demands Stand in one spot for a long period of time; bend, stoop, and kneel regularly (70% of the time). Full range of upper body motion. Lift up to 60 pounds on a frequent basis (50% of the time). Frequent repetitive motion of hands and wrists.
  • Work Environment Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures (20% of the time). Frequently near moving machinery (70% of the time).
Schedule

The Baker is a position with a work schedule that includes early mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility to work evening or overnight shifts as needed.
