Overview

Coffee Commissary in Glendale, CA is looking for BAKERS to join our team. We are located on 1419 W Kenneth Rd. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and engaged and focused on Craft + Quality. We're looking for experienced bakers part time or full-time and must be able to work early mornings!

Shift

AM Shift 3:30am-12:00pm

Responsibilities

• Weigh and measure ingredients
• Mix and blend batters
• Roll, knead, cut, or shape dough to form sweet rolls, pie crusts, tarts, cookies, or other products
• Set oven temperatures and monitor or modify as needed
• Ice, glaze, and decorate baked goods
• Prepare and maintain inventory
• Clean and sanitize workstation and equipment
• Open the bakery and prepare for the day ahead
• Clean and sanitize equipment and baking areas
• Bake a variety of breads, cakes, and pastries
• Decorate cakes
• Prepare custom orders
• Track, maintain, and order inventory as necessary

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a baker, pastry chef, or in a similar role is preferred
• Ability to use professional-grade kitchen appliances and equipment
• Knowledge of food safety practices
• Previous experience decorating cakes
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
