Prepare, mix, shape, proof, boil, bake, and finish bagels according to Abby’s Bagels recipes and standards
Produce baked goods in required quantities while maintaining quality, freshness, and presentation
Follow daily production schedules and communicate shortages or product issues promptly
Measure ingredients accurately and maintain recipe consistency
Operate ovens, mixers, proofers, slicers, and other bakery equipment safely
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bakery workspace
Follow food-safety, temperature-control, labeling, storage, and sanitation procedures
Receive, stock, rotate, and monitor bakery ingredients and supplies
Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment and preparing the workspace for the next shift
Work collaboratively with front-of-house and kitchen team members during busy service periods
Help develop and test seasonal flavors or specialty baked items as needed
Previous bakery, bagel, bread, pastry, kitchen, or food-production experience preferred
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and occasional extended shifts
Comfortable standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work safely around hot equipment
Strong attention to detail, time management, and cleanliness
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to follow recipes, production procedures, and food-safety requirements
Positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced team environment
Food Handler certification, or willingness to obtain one, preferred
This role may be full-time or part-time, with shifts typically beginning in the early morning. Compensation is competitive and based on experience.
