Job summary

Push Operations in Cranberry Township, PA is seeking a Baker to deliver high-quality baked goods and exceptional customer service. This hourly position requires early morning, night, weekend, and holiday availability, along with accurate cash handling and a team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities include following recipes, measuring ingredients with industrial equipment, decorating desserts, maintaining cleanliness and food safety, and collaborating with Leaders and Supervisors to meet brand

Qualifications

  • Be at least 16 years of age.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a valid ServSafe Food Handler’s Permit.
  • Safely handle and work near common food allergens (milk, egg, nuts, wheat, soy, sesame).
  • Safely use industrial cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  • Stand for up to 8 hours; operate in a hot, hectic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers, answer questions, make recommendations, process orders and payments with accurate cash handling.
  • Follow recipes and preparation instructions to produce quality baked goods.
  • Measure and combine ingredients using industrial equipment.
  • Decorate and display desserts to brand standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with team and leadership to meet service needs.

Job description

Bakers are hourly tipped employees responsible for executing a variety of tasks in the bakery that are designated to drive excellent customer experiences and a high quality product. Bakers do not have direct reports, but report to Leaders including Supervisors and Management.

Baker Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Flexibility to work around customer demand, including early morning, night, weekend, and holiday availability
  • Align to store culture expectations and work in an inclusive, respectful, professional, exciting, and hard-working environment
  • Greeting customers, answering questions, making recommendations, accepting orders and payment (including proper cash handling), and providing exceptional customer service
  • Properly execute recipes and other preparation instructions
  • Measure and combine ingredients using industrial equipment such as mixers, blenders, and varying heat sources
  • Decorating and displaying desserts to brand standard
  • Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on products
  • Cleaning and restocking the workstations and ensuring all equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and meeting all food safety and brand standards
  • Follow all delivered instructions on how to properly execute tasks to meet food safety, company, and brand standards
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Time-management skills to work efficiently and productively at all times in accordance with the business need and directed by Leadership

Baker Requirements and Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a valid ServSafe Food Handler’s Permit
  • Safely handle and work in close proximity to food allergens including milk, egg, nuts, wheat, soy, and sesame
  • Safely use and be in contact with industrial cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Ability to work in a hot, hectic, and loud environment for entire shifts - up to 8 hours
  • Stand, walk, bend, crouch, and use hands (gross and fine manipulation) for entire shifts - up to 8 hours
  • Frequently lift, push, or pull heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds and move them up to 20 feet without assistance
  • Frequently climb up and down a stepladder while accessing, balancing, and/or carrying items (including overhead) weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
  • Handle and operate industrial appliances including mixers, ovens, chillers, and freezers
  • Basic math, computer, and reading comprehension skills
  • Fluent in English for both verbal and written communications
  • Clarity of vision including but not limited to near visual activity (20 inches or less) and far visual activity (20 feet or more)
  • The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds in-person, over a telephone, and virtually through videos or recordings

$15-16/hour
