Job summary

Hogsalt is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full Time Baker to join our team in Chicago. The role offers $22-$24/hour and requires at least one year of professional baking experience, with open availability including mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and stock station with all necessary supplies, ensuring proper inventory control.
  • Cook and prepare menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen/bakery staff according to the Hogsalt Recipe Index, ensuring food quality and time standards are always met.
  • Answer, report to, and follow instructions from Bakery Operations Manager, Baking & Pastry Director, Executive Chef, or other leadership.
  • Properly clean and break down station at the end of service, ensuring food handling and storage standards are met.
  • Ensure that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations at all times.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers, leadership, and vendors.

Experience & Qualifications

At least one year of professional baking experience is required.

Passion for excellence, superior service standards, and a positive attitude.

Open availability including mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift, including frequent bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and stooping.

Ability to remain positive and productive in a potentially hot or cold work environment.

Must have a valid Food Handler Certificate prior to start date.

Duties & Responsibilities
