Job summary

East Bank Club in Chicago is seeking an entry-level baker to prepare breads, pastries, and desserts for the Grill, Market, Sun Deck, and Banquets. You will bake a variety of breads and cookies and ensure daily production items are available for each area.

You must maintain par stock, label and date items, and handle special requests from the Chef and Sous Chef. This role includes benefits such as PTO, retirement plans, and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Previous baker experience with breads, muffins, cookies and desserts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all necessary bakery products for Grill, Market, Sun Deck, and Banquets.
• Bake breads, muffins, breakfast pastries, desserts and cookies.
• Supply all areas with daily production items and maintain par stock levels.
• Set up desserts for banquets and handle special requests from Chef/Sous Chef.
• Keep areas neat, labeled, dated and rotated; keep coolers clean and organized.
• Requisition daily production items and perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour. This is considered an entry level position.

• Supply all areas with necessary products for daily production
• Maintain all items at proper par stock levels
• Set up all desserts for banquets
• Handle all special requests as specified by Chef and Sous Chef
• Keep area neat and orderly, containers properly labeled, dated and rotated. Coolers need to be clean and organized.
• Proper requisitioning of all items for daily production
