Job summary

The Sheraton San Diego Resort is seeking a friendly Server to join our dining team. You will greet guests, take food and beverage orders, ensure accuracy, and provide attentive service in a fast-paced environment with breathtaking waterfront views.

Responsibilities include pre- and post-bus duties, menu knowledge, handling payments, and maintaining a clean, safe dining area while collaborating with kitchen and other departments. Starting pay is $19/hour.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to speak, understand, and communicate the primary language used in the workplace.
• Must possess the ability to push, pull, bend, squat, and lift up to 50lbs regularly.
• Flexible scheduling including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Must understand the mission and goals of the hotel and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet the guests and take all food and beverage orders.
• Ensure all orders are accurate with requests and substitutions.
• Be knowledgeable of all menu items and dietary considerations.
• Pre- and post-bus tables in assigned stations.
• Maintain a clean dining area and handle payments accurately and timely.
• Open/close duties and side work.
• Prepare food items for guests and assist other servers as needed.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are in good condition and stocked.
