ProAmpac in Wisconsin is seeking Converting Assistants for the Bags Department. You will inspect raw materials, package finished bags, troubleshoot issues, assist in machine changeovers, and perform quality inspections to ensure product integrity.

The role offers growth opportunities into an operator position with hands-on training in machine operation, troubleshooting, and production processes. Be part of a climate-controlled facility with a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic mechanical and math skills are required.
• Previous experience with converting or robot equipment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and a team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials to ensure quality standards.
• Collect, package, and label finished bags/gaylords per requirements.
• Identify and troubleshoot production issues, including material inconsistencies and equipment malfunctions.
• Assist in machine changeovers for different production runs.
• Perform quality inspections and testing on finished bags (drop testing, seal integrity, dimensional checks).
• Operate PIV equipment to move materials safely.
• Provide a pathway for advancement into an operator role.
