Job summary

ProAmpac in De Pere, WI is hiring Converting Assistants in the Bags Department. You will inspect materials, assist with machine changeovers, package finished bags, and perform quality checks to meet customer specs.

This role offers a clean, climate-controlled environment with paid vacation, holidays, 401(k), and opportunities to advance into an operator role through hands-on training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with converting or robot equipment is a plus.
• Basic mechanical and math skills are expected.
• Strong attention to detail and team-focused attitude are essential.

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials to ensure quality.
• Package and label finished bags/gaylords per production and customer specs.
• Identify and troubleshoot production issues, including material inconsistencies and equipment malfunctions.
• Assist in machine changeovers for different production runs and load new rolls of material.
• Perform quality inspections and testing on finished bags (drop testing, seal integrity, dimensional checks).
• Operate PIV equipment to move materials safely around the workspace.
• Pathway for advancement into an operator role with training in machine operation, troubleshooting, quality, and production skills.

Schedule

2, 2, 3 rotating schedule between days and nights - rotation every two weeks.
