Job summary

ProAmpac in Wisconsin is seeking Converting Assistants for the Bags Department to support production, inspect materials, label finished goods, and troubleshoot issues.

You will participate in machine changeovers, perform quality tests on bags, and help move materials with PIV equipment. This role offers a path to operator positions and a stable, climate-controlled environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with converting or robot equipment is a plus.
• Basic mechanical and math skills required.
• Strong attention to detail and team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials to ensure quality standards and specs.
• Package and label finished bags/gaylords per production requirements.
• Identify and troubleshoot production issues and equipment malfunctions.
• Assist in machine changeovers for different runs, loading new rolls.
• Perform quality inspections and testing on finished bags, including drop testing and seal integrity.
• Operate PIV equipment to move materials safely around the work area.
• Provide a pathway for advancement into an operator role with skill development.

Schedule

2, 2, 3 rotating schedule between days and nights - rotation every two weeks.
