Job summary

Living Earth is hiring a bagging line operator to safely set up, start, operate, and maintain bagging equipment on-site. You will track production metrics, troubleshoot issues, and ensure product quality according to standards, contributing to a clean and efficient packaging line.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of proven experience in an industrial operations environment.
• Experience operating automatic bagging equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to stand/move for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Successfully operate the mulch line bagging equipment while following safety standards, regulations, and procedures.
• Perform equipment cleaning and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Conduct validation testing to ensure finished products meet packaging and quality control standards.
• Possess and maintain knowledge of PLCs and VFDs used to operate bagging equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair equipment stoppages and downtime root causes.
• Enter, document and maintain production paperwork and KPI metrics (daily/hourly rates, downtime causes, minutes).
