Job summary

Living Earth - Houston, TX is seeking a production associate to manage mulch line bagging equipment outdoors. The role requires adherence to safety standards, equipment maintenance, and accurate KPI data entry.

This position involves forklift operation, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working 6 AM–6 PM, Monday through Friday with possible Saturday shifts. You will monitor production, troubleshoot downtime, and ensure quality control while performing required documentation and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Operate mulch line bagging equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain and clean equipment per procedures to ensure a safe environment.
• Accurately enter production data and KPI metrics.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair equipment stoppages and downtime.
• Move equipment with a forklift as needed.
• Work Monday–Saturday with overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate line bagging equipment efficiently and safely.

• Record daily/hourly production, downtime causes and minutes.
• Troubleshoot equipment stoppages and perform repairs.

Job description

Ensure that the mulch line bagging equipment is being operated efficiently while complying with all safety standards, regulations and operating procedures. ensure that all required equipment is cleaned and maintained in order to guarantee a safe working environment.Conduct validation testing to ensure all finished products comply with company packaging and quality control standards and guidelines.Possess and maintain a working knowledge of PLCs and VFDs used to operate bagging equipment.Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair equipment stoppages, breakdowns and downtime root causes.Accurately enter, document and maintain all production paperwork and KPI metrics including daily and hourly production rates, downtime root causes and the associated downtime minutes.Move equipment with a forklift when required.Delegate line duties to associates accordingly.Working Monday through Saturday (Saturday is a half day or as required).Being available to work overtime hours as needed.A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines.Understanding bulk materials management and oversight of logistics/ delivery/ dispatch of similar scale.Working with truck scales/software.Will be working out in the elements.Must be able to stand for prolonged amounts of time.Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop, and climb a ladder.Must be able to lift up at least 50 lbs.Able to work from 6 AM to 6 PM Monday through Friday, occasionally on Saturday, when necessary
