Job summary

IGA Market in Elgin, SC is seeking a part-time team member to assist guests with courtesy and service. Flexible schedules, weekly pay, and benefits including a 401K, Pension Plan and tuition assistance make this a practical option for students and part-time workers.

As a PT associate you’ll greet guests, bag orders, help with carts, perform price checks, and maintain clean front-end areas while delivering friendly customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 lb regularly and 50 lb occasionally.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
• Retrieve and push shopping carts.
• Load customer orders into cars.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, thank them, offer bag options, and follow courtesy guidelines.
• Bag guests’ orders to prevent damage.
• Work well with hosts and supervisors.
• Place purchases in carts or hand bags, assist customers to their vehicle.
• Perform price checks.
• Relay guest problems to supervisor.
• Retrieve carts from the parking lot.
• Clean front end, break room, rest rooms, lobby, parking lot, etc.
• Clean garbage and debris from carts and baskets.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Actively communicates with every guest including greeting, thanking, offering a choice of bag type, and performing any other courtesy guideline.
• Properly bags guests’ orders to ensure purchases are not damaged.
• Works well with all hosts and supervisors.
• Places guests purchases in grocery cart or hands bags to the customer and sincerely offers assistance to the guests vehicle.
• Performs price checks.
• Relay guest problems to supervisor.
• Retrieves carts from parking lot.
• Cleans front end, break room, rest rooms, lobby, parking lot, etc.
• Cleans garbage and debris from carts and baskets.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
