Job summary

IGA Market in Cheraw, SC is seeking a part-time guest service associate to join our team. You will greet guests, assist with bagging, and help with carrying purchases to vehicles while maintaining a friendly, attentive demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Actively communicates with every guest including greeting, thanking, offering a choice of bag type, and performing any other courtesy guideline.
• Properly bags guests orders to ensure purchases are not damaged.
• Works well with all hosts and supervisors.
• Places guests purchases in grocery cart or hands bags to the guest and sincerely offers assistance to the guest’s vehicle.
• Performs price checks.
• Relays guest problems to supervisor.
• Retrieves carts from the parking lot.
• Cleans front end, break room, rest rooms, lobby, parking lot, etc.
• Cleans garbage and debris from carts and baskets.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to retrieve and push in shopping carts.
• Ability to bend and lift to load guest orders into cars.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
