Job summary

Kennie's Market's Inc in Spring Grove, PA is seeking a part-time Bagger to provide friendly customer service, bag groceries neatly, assist customers to their vehicles, and support front-end operations.

No prior experience is required; training will be provided. You should be able to read simple instructions and follow bagging guidelines, work well with others, and maintain clean, organized work areas.

Responsibilities

• Bags all groceries neatly according to bagging guidelines and/or customer requests.
• Check prices for the cashier if something does not scan or is not marked.
• Keep bag compartments at the registers filled at all times.
• Keep bag compartments and register areas clean and free of clutter at all times.
• Responsible for helping customers with their purchases from the store to their vehicle.
• Assist customers in loading purchases into their vehicle.
• Bring empty carts from the parking lot to their proper storage area.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation at the front of the store and in the parking lot; picking up litter, emptying garbage cans, cleaning spills and removing snow.
• Cooperate with fellow department employees and with other departments when inter-departmental or store wide promotions warrant.
• Perform other appropriate duties as directed by the Office Manager, Assistant Office Manager, Cash Office, Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager.
• Adheres to company uniform policy and name badge policy.

Job Description

The Bagger is responsible to perform duties as directed by theFrontendManager and/or Asst.Frontend Manager for the successful operation of the Front-end department. The Bagger is responsible to see that all Kennie's customers are provided with the best customer service available.

Requirements:

• EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: No prior experience required. Training will be provided.
• LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of this organization.
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: None.
• REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Bags all groceries as neatly as possible according to bagging guidelines and/or customer requests.
