Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services in Minnesota is seeking a Baggage System Support Technician. The role focuses on maintaining automated baggage handling systems, clearing jams, and assisting with faults under supervision.

The position requires FAA/OSHA awareness, strong attention to detail, and excellent customer service. The schedule is Friday to Monday, 11:00 AM–9:30 PM, with potential quarterly bonuses and a path for career growth within a leading aviation services provider.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Aviation Industry experience a plus.
• High attention to detail.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.
• Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices.
• Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means.
• Must possess the versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work with constantly changing priorities.
• Must be able to report to work on a regular, consistent, and timely basis; must be prompt and maintain good attendance.
• Must possess the ability to be a self-starter, work independently and as a member of various teams.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
• Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Clear and reset baggage system jams and faults to minimize downtime and disruption.
• Remove, sort, and transport luggage using baggage utility carts to designated locations.
• Monitor and communicate baggage system faults to appropriate personnel.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory standards (FAA, OSHA).
• Manually encode and scan baggage tags at designated stations as needed.
• Learn to inspect and understand BHS equipment performance under supervision.
• Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
