Job summary

PopUp Bagels is seeking a Bagel Chef (Shop Manager) to lead the whole shop, champion hospitality, and ensure top-tier food quality and guest experience. You will drive day-to-day operations, coach a growing team, and manage inventory, costs, and technology platforms to meet financial and quality goals.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on leadership, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to develop staff while maintaining brand standards and a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level not required; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Culinary training or coursework preferred but not required.
• Active ServSafe and/or Department of Health certification, or ability to obtain certification within required timeframe.
• Experience managing a full-service, high-volume restaurant with front- and back-of-house responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of daily shop operations.
• Drive sales, profitability, and operational performance through labor, food costs, and expenses.
• Monitor KPIs and implement plans to achieve business goals.
• Ensure consistent recipes, food quality, and procedures.
• Oversee inventory management, ordering, receiving, and controls.
• Manage shop technology platforms (POS, scheduling, digital ordering).
• Execute new menu launches and promotions.
