Call Your Mother is hiring a Baker & Prep Cook in Chicago to craft bagels, pastries, and house-made ingredients. You’ll learn multiple production stations, maintain quality, and help keep a fast-paced kitchen running with care and pride.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in food production or fast-paced kitchen.
• Ability to safely handle knives and follow recipes.
• Willingness to learn new stations and build skills.

Responsibilities

• Mix, shape, proof, bake, and finish bagels, pastries, and seasonal baked goods.
• Prepare spreads, sauces, dressings, proteins, and other house-made ingredients following recipes.
• Prep, portion, package, label, and store products for delivery to our shops.
• Monitor product quality to ensure everything leaving the commissary meets CYM standards.
• Keep workstations, equipment, and production areas clean, organized, and food safe.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, allergen, and health department standards every step of the way.
