Job summary

Call Your Mother Deli in Denver, CO is hiring a Baker & Prep Cook. You will craft bagels and baked goods, prep toppings, and help supply multiple shops with house-made ingredients. This role emphasizes teamwork, quality, and efficient production in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in food production, baking, prep cooking, or another fast-paced kitchen.
• Ability to safely wield a knife and follow recipes.
• Strong organizational skills and pride in producing consistently great food.

Responsibilities

• Mix, shape, proof, bake, and finish bagels, pastries, and seasonal baked goods.
• Prepare spreads, sauces, dressings, proteins, and other house-made ingredients following recipes and schedules.
• Prep, portion, package, label, and store products for delivery to our shops.
• Monitor product quality to ensure everything leaving the commissary meets CYM standards.
• Keep workstations, equipment, and production areas clean, organized, and food safe.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, allergen, and health department standards every step of the way.
• Communicate inventory shortages, equipment issues, waste, or quality concerns to leadership.
• Learn new production stations and continuously build your skills.
• Support teammates, help train new hires, and pitch in wherever the team needs you most.
