Qualifications

• Prior experience in a bakery, bagel shop, or commercial baking environment preferred.
• Knowledge of dough mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking techniques.
• Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Mix, shape, and bake fresh bagels daily from scratch following traditional recipes and techniques.
• Operate and maintain commercial baking equipment including mixers, proofers, and deck ovens.
• Boil and bake bagels to achieve the perfect crust and texture.
• Monitor dough consistency, fermentation, and proofing times to ensure quality and consistency.
• Prepare and portion dough batches to meet daily production demands.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary baking environment in compliance with food safety standards.
• Assist with inventory management and communicate supply needs to management.
