Job summary

Printpack in North Carolina is hiring a Bag Operator I to run 1–3 bag-making machines, monitor quality, and keep precise production records. The role requires basic mechanical aptitude, reading specifications, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

You will work in a manufacturing setting with opportunities to learn bag-making processes and use a Production Operating System for data entry. Night shifts offer a $2.50/hr premium; other shifts may vary.

Qualifications

  • Bag making experience a plus.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Must pass pre-employment assessment.
  • Drug screening required.
  • Background check required.
  • Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Operate 1-3 bag-making machines simultaneously with proficiency.
  • Monitor and maintain machine safeguards, pressure systems, dwell times, and temperature controls.
  • Ensure product quality meets specifications and manufacturing instructions.
  • Complete accurate production reports to maintain product traceability.
  • Input data into the Production Operating System with precision.
  • Perform quality tests and measurements for machine troubleshooting.
  • Assist Quality Technicians with box making and taping.
  • Coordinate with material handlers for supply management.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
