Sealed Air Corporation in Simpsonville, SC is seeking a Mezzanine Attendant to rack barrier and non-barrier tubing at optimum output, meeting departmental goals and customer expectations. The role operates on the Night shift with pay of $19.25 per hour.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety, supporting production teams, inspecting quality, labeling and weighing tubing, trouble-shooting winders, and following standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or similar setting.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
• Computer knowledge and Windows applications experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties safely at all times and protect coworkers.
• Work as part of a team to meet department goals and customer expectations.
• Support multiple racks or assigned racks as needed.
• Communicate effectively during production changes and quality concerns.
• Perform quality inspections and follow SOPs for correct formulations and labeling.
• Troubleshoot winders (tape width, buildup, cores, splices) and take corrective actions.
• Ensure accurate label and weight of tubing and proper identification of materials.

Position Summary:
The Mezzanine Attendant is responsible for racking barrier and non-barrier tubing at optimum output and yield meeting or exceeding departmental goals and internal and external Customers’ expectations.

Pay: $19.25

Shift: Night

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform job functions in a safe manner at all times and to ensure the safety of coworkers.
• Work as a team member to ensure goals and objectives of the department are reached.
• Mezzanine Attendant must be able to support multiple racks as well as assigned racks when needed.
• Communicate effectively to relieve Operators and Mezzanine attendants when there are changes to production orders and quality concerns.
• Perform quality inspections and adhere to Standard Operating Conditions and Standard
• Operating Procedures to ensure correct formulations are being produced and labeled properly on racks.
• Must have the ability to trouble shoot winders (tape width, buildup, cores, and splices) and take appropriate corrective actions.
• Must control quality by monitoring the racks for various visual quality defects such as edge creases, voids, gels, scratches and all other visual characteristics.
• Must be able to ensure accurate label and weight of tubing. Properly identify material being produced on winders
• Perform all duties as directed by supervisor

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Requirements:

• 0-3 years of experience
• Requires basic reading, writing and math skills

Other Requirements:

• Computer knowledge and 1-2 years of Windows applications experience preferred
• Flexibility within a high-performance work environment
• Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
• Able to work without close supervision
• Able to follow instructions and make decisions based on data obtained
