Job summary

ProAmpac in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a full-time Bag Machine Operator to setup and run converting equipment for bags and pouches to customer specs. You will diagnose equipment issues, read blueprints and manuals, and train less-experienced teammates, using mechanical and electrical knowledge to minimize downtime.

The role requires a high school diploma, experience in flexible packaging or printing is a plus, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Reading and writing skills corresponding to the level of High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in Flexible packaging and/or printing; converting equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support a safe and compliant work environment and report hazards.
• Operate and set up converting equipment to meet specs and quality expectations.
• Diagnose equipment issues using test results and observations.
• Interpret blueprints and manuals for efficient machinery operation.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance with mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Train machine operators and support continuous improvement initiatives.
