Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is hiring for a packaging crew member at our Wisconsin plant. You will operate packing lines, form cartons, and ensure accurate weights on scale while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Hourly starting pay is $22.91 with a $1.00/hour shift differential for 2nd shift. Comprehensive benefits including health insurance and retirement plans, plus education support and professional development opportunities are provided to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work well in fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Forms infold carton and positions on scale platform for packing.
• Neatly packs carton with layers of sheeted bacon.
• Scales to proper weight and adjusts as needed.
• If overweight, removes bacon until acceptable; if underweight, adds weight slices.
