Job summary

Wet Willie's in Ventura, CA is seeking a crew member to assist in clearing dishes, replenishing, cleaning, and maintaining the dining area under the guidance of the Server and Management.

Responsibilities include transporting soiled wares, assisting servers with table set ups, pre-bus duties, and maintaining a friendly guest experience throughout service. Must follow uniform guidelines and participate in training.

• Clear dishes and transport soiled wares from dining room to the dish area.
• Assist servers in resetting tables during service.
• Pour water, clear tables, and help with serving muffins as needed.
• Attend pre-meal meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
• Work as a team with servers to support service for the evening.

Job description

Completing tasks related to clearing dishes, replenishing, cleaning, and maintaining service and dining area at the guidance of the Server and Management.

Requirements

• Clock-in and out on Micros system as directed by management
• Take breaks as required by California law
• To directly assist servers in transport all soiled plate ware, glassware and flatware from the main dining room to the dish machine area.
• To be aware of any/all special table set ups, and arrange them accordingly.
• To assist servers in resetting restaurant tables during service.
• To perform all daily side duties, as assigned.
• To assist servers by pouring water, serving muffinsand clearing tables.
• To set and/or re-set tables as needed.
• To work as a team with the servers to assist them throughout the evening.
• The uniform is black rubber soled shoes, black socks, black wool or polyester-cotton blendpants (No cotton or wrinkled pants), pressed dress (Must be starched) shirt, white T-shirt, and any style of suspenders except leather.The areas where the staff can show their personality is wear fun ties, fun suspenders, and colored shirts.If you think it may be too crazy to wear, please check with management.
• Pre-bus tables throughout the course of the meal, removing unnecessary glassware and flatware.These will be placed in the dish area.
• To attend all pre-meal meeting and training sessions as scheduled.
• To always be friendly and courteous to the guests at all times.
• Perform other tasks as directed by management or supervisors.
