Job summary

Silgan Containers is seeking a maintenance housekeeping helper to assist our Maintenance department by keeping machines and surrounding areas clean and safe during down times for planned maintenance.

You will perform readings, operate the blow mold line and downstream components, and handle mold cleaning and changeovers. Candidates should be able to lift up to 40 pounds, follow safety rules, and participate in operator training and evaluations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds continuously throughout the shift.
• Work involves continuous lifting, bending, reaching and twisting.
• Willingness to be trained on Blow mold basics 6 wk. Operator Training Course
• Subject to a formal evaluation at 3 weeks, 6 weeks, and additional periodic intervals by the Trainer and Supervisor.
• This position requires the cognitive and mental ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.

• Blow mold basics 6 wk. Operator Training Course

• Subject to a formal evaluation at 3 weeks, 6 weeks, and additional periodic intervals by the Trainer, and Supervisor and decisions will be made accordingly.

• This position requires the cognitive and mental ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Mechanical Aptitude a plus.
