Delaware North Gaming is seeking a Backside Security Guard at Mardi Gras Casino in Cross Lanes, WV. The role supports the Security Manager to keep guests and team members safe under WV Gaming Commission rules.

Pay starts at $13.00–$13.50 per hour with weekly pay and a broad benefits package. This full-time or part-time position emphasizes teamwork, fast pace, and incident reporting in a casino environment.

The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is searching for a full-time or part-time Backside Security Guard to join our team at Mardi Gras Casino in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. As a Backside Security team member, you will work under the Security Manager, maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and team members, in accordance with the West Virginia Gaming Commission and applicable operational standards.

Pay

$13.00 - $13.50 / hour

What will you do?

• Enforce rules and regulations of the local gaming commission
• Adhere to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures
• Report any incidents, following all departmental and organizational policies and procedures, and report any procedural violations and illegal activity
• Fill out departmental log forms, verifying all paperwork is complete and turned in at the conclusion of shifts
• Process guest complaints, using active listening skills to control difficult situations, and communicate with guests sensitively and with care
• A valid drivers license is required to drive a company vehicle on occasion when necessary

More about you

• No high school diploma or GED required
• Security guard, state-certified
• Able to be licensed by the state gaming commission
• Highly motivated and takes initiative
• Team-oriented; ability to work effectively with others
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must have a valid state driver's license and ability to safely operate vehicle in inclement weather.

Physical requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, stooping, lifting, reaching, and pushing, with strong manual dexterity and the ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. You may also occasionally be required to sit for periods of time
• Visual awareness, sufficient to identify potential security violations
• Hearing ability sufficient to respond to the spoken voice, audible alarms, and two-way radios
• Exposure to all weather conditions
