Job summary

Wegmans is seeking a backroom associate to unload daily deliveries, organize products, and maintain a clean backroom and sales floor. You will rotate stock using FIFO and follow safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure freshness and accuracy throughout the store.

This role requires working in cold environments and lifting various weights, contributing to efficient store operations and support for customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 8–32 pounds on average, with occasional heavier lifts up to 50+ pounds.
• Ability to work in cold temperatures and stand for long periods.
• Attention to safety and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Unload daily deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Sort, organize and stage products in storage areas.
• Maintain a clean and organized backroom and storage area.
• Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or inventory issues to management.
• Rotate products following FIFO practices to maintain freshness.
• Handle products properly and follow sanitation guidelines.
