Wegmans in Columbia, MD is hiring a Backroom Associate to receive, unload, stock, and organize deliveries so shelves stay stocked and products rotate properly. You’ll maintain an efficient backroom and sales floor, follow FIFO, and report discrepancies to management while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

The role requires working in cold temperatures and lifting 8–32 pounds on average, with occasional heavier loads.

Formación

• Experience unloading deliveries and stocking products.
• Ability to rotate stock using FIFO practices.
• Ability to maintain clean, organized backroom and sales floor.

Responsabilidades

• Unload daily deliveries safely and efficiently
• Sort, organize and stage products in the appropriate storage areas
• Maintain a clean and organized backroom and storage area
• Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or inventory issues to management
• Rotate products following FIFO (first in, first out) practices to maintain freshness
• Properly handle products, use equipment, and follow sanitation practices in accordance with food and human safety guidelines
• Work in cold temperatures; lifting 8-32 pounds on average with maximum weight lifted greater than 50 pounds occasionally to frequently
