Price Rite of ALLENTOWN is seeking a Receiver to ensure accurate receiving of deliveries and to maintain a neat, organized back room. You will learn several departments and contribute to a great shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Stand/walk for duration of shift.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs., occasionally 50 lbs.
• Work with products and maintain safety.
• Tolerate dust and cleaning agents during housekeeping duties.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Work cooperatively with others and maintain attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor grocery storage area for cleanliness and readiness for next shift.
• Handle damaged or returned products per policy, prioritizing refrigerated items.
• Verify invoices for cost, retail and quantity; complete Wakefern report cards.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Promote current charitable promotions to customers.
• Observe safety regulations when operating equipment.
• Follow safety procedures for opening cartons and product rotation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Keep floors free of debris and spills.
• Dress and groom per policy; wear uniform and name badge.
• Perform QA hand washing and wear disposable gloves when handling food.
• Follow HAZCOM program and label instructions for chemical products.
• Regularly lift and move merchandise up to 50 lbs.
• Unload trucks and transport merchandise as needed.
• Stand for duration of shift (may exceed 8 hours).
• Check prices and know item locations in store.
• Adhere to shrink guidelines in Grocery operations.
• Comply with regulations and company policies for duties and health/safety codes.
• Complete all training programs and maintain punctual attendance.
• Work overtime as assigned and cooperate with others.
• Must be 18+ to operate certain equipment and perform other duties as assigned.
