Job summary

The HomeGoods team at The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a flexible, detail-oriented associate in Portsmouth, NH to uphold merchandising standards and ensure smooth receiving and processing.

You will interact with customers, train staff, and help maintain clean, organized spaces across backroom and floor areas. You will lead by example, support teamwork, and adapt to changing priorities while promoting store safety, compliance, and loyalty programs.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability including nights and weekends.
• Excellent communication and organization with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing directions.
• At least 1 year retail and 6 months leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute receiving and merchandising standards.
• Ensure Associates process efficiently and interact with customers.
• Orchestrate truck deliveries and merchandise flow to sales floor.
• Train and mentor Associates on merchandising principles.
• Maintain proper tagging, hanging, securing, and coding.
• Communicate with management to prioritize tasks.
• Uphold safety, cleanliness, and backroom standards.
• Promote and support store shrink reduction and loyalty programs.
