The Fresh Market is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to lead backroom accuracy, oversee inventory integrity, and manage vendor receiving in our Pittsburgh store. This role emphasizes hands-on operations, compliance, and guest service, anchored in our culture of hospitality and teamwork.

You will drive days-on-hand targets, maintain SOP alignment, and ensure product freshness while supporting efficient store operations and vendor relations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• 1–2 years of experience coordinating teams.
• Ability to work in cold, wet, and physically demanding environments.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with managers to oversee inbound/outbound deliveries and resolve issues.
• Monitor days-on-hand targets for all departments.
• Maintain accurate beer, wine, and spirits inventory records and compliance.
• Enforce receiving protocols, including vendor security and backroom access control.
• Verify deliveries, truck seals, and invoices for accurate processing.
• Coordinate with distribution and merchandising to resolve discrepancies.
• Serve as primary contact for Maintenance Dispatch Center to track repairs.
• Provide courteous interactions with vendors, teammates, and guests.
