Job summary

Sam's Club Tomball is opening a brand-new club and seeks a Backroom Associate to help build operations from day one. You’ll receive, unload, and process shipments, keep the backroom organized, and support inventory accuracy to ensure smooth store operations.

As a founding member of the Tomball team, you’ll work behind the scenes in a fast-paced warehouse setting, collaborate with teammates, and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.

• Receive, unload, and process shipments in accordance with company procedures.

Keep Operations Moving Behind the Scenes

As a Backroom Associate at Sam’s Club, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring products are received, processed, and moved to the sales floor efficiently. Your work helps maintain inventory accuracy, reduce shrink, and ensure members have access to the products they need.

In this role, you’ll spend your day receiving shipments, organizing merchandise, maintaining backroom operations, and supporting a fast-paced, high-volume environment while ensuring safety and accuracy in every task.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and manage clearance and liquidation items
• Operate equipment safely and follow all company safety standards and guidelines
• Conduct safety checks and report unsafe conditions to management
• Support inventory accuracy, reduce shrink, and maintain proper merchandise handling

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00*

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
