Job summary

SRG Government Services in Merritt Island, FL seeks a Senior Production Control Specialist to manage backlog, improve MRP data integrity, and provide surge support to the core Production Control team. Responsibilities include dispositioning idle orders, expediting hot jobs, coordinating with service centers, and maintaining WIP throughput.

Off-nominal shift coverage is required; eligibility includes U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Minimum 5 years' experience with schedule management, expediting, or backlog/data clean-up in manufacturing.
Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Costpoint, or similar).
Comfortable working directly with data, not only dashboards.

Responsibilities

Drive down the work-order backlog: disposition idle/no-need-date orders and close out.
Execute targeted expedite efforts on hot jobs and resolve blockers across centers.
Provide off-nominal shift coverage (B/C/D) as needed.
Maintain MRP/ERP data integrity.
Communicate daily backlog burn-down status and shift hand-offs.
Flag constraints or recurring blockers to area leads and PC leadership.
Partner with the FTE PC team and carry standing work-center ownership as needed.
When backlog is clear, support other work centers and sustain minimal technical debt.
Additional duties as assigned.
