Job summary

Louisiana Bridge Builders in Lake Charles, LA, is seeking a Backhoe/Excavator/Trackhoe Operator II to support the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge project. You will dig trenches, excavate, move materials, and assist with debris removal, under supervision.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years of heavy equipment experience; NCCER certification is preferred. Must be able to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays; strong safety practices and basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to dig trenches, excavate, move dirt, rocks, and other materials.
• Perform pre-shift inspections of equipment.
• Conduct basic routine maintenance, lubrication, and fueling of equipment.
• Coordinate machine actions with crew using hand or audio signals.
• Operate efficiently and safely to complete tasks.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
