Job summary

US Foods in Tampa, FL is seeking a Warehouse Associate to perform daytime warehouse functions. You will receive inbound product from vendors, tag and record it, and restock pick and reserve slots to keep inventory in place for fast, accurate selection.

You will move products using pallet jacks and forklifts, verify receiving paperwork, help maintain safety and cleanliness, and support night-shift picking by replenishing slots.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred; pallet jack or high lift experience preferred.
• Able to read and write legibly, perform basic math, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound product and verify against invoices and receiving paperwork.
• Tag, record, and place product into correct warehouse slots.
• Replenish pick slots from reserve slots to support night shift picking.
• Move pallets using pallet jack and forklift equipment.
• Check product temperatures for frozen/refrigerated items and ensure food safety compliance.
• Complete daily receiving paperwork and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Maintain clean and safe aisles and report any damages.

BASIC PURPOSE

Performs the daytime warehouse functions: receives inbound product from vendors, tags and records product, restocks product into the pick and reserve slots and replenishes pick slots by letting down product from the reserve slots. This makes sure that the division maintains proper inventory levels and that the inventory is in place for fast and accurate selection during the night shift. SCHEDULE

Monday -Thursday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm and Friday 11:00 am - 7:30 pm

PAY

PAY: $26.27 per hour

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $24 and $29.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Check inbound product identification against invoices and receiving paperwork to insure correct pack/size, quantity, product quality and temperature, pallet ti/hi, etc.
• Check temperature of all inbound frozen and refrigerated products to ensure proper temperatures and compliance to U.S. Foodservice’s food safety and RRE requirements.
• Verify quantity of each product to insure physical count agrees with shipping and receiving documentation; report any variances so that inventory levels are accurately adjusted in system.
• Move received product from the dock into the proper warehouse slots using forklift, pallet jack and hi-low.
• Completes required paperwork for daily receiving, as per U.S. Foodservice, USDA and SOX requirements; sign and date to authenticate products received are placed into inventory.
• Transport pallet loads of product from dock to correct warehouse slot using powered industrial equipment and insures all pallets are secure in designated slots to avoid damage or injury when product is selected.
• Replenish pick slots with product from reserve slots to maintain inventory levels for night shift selection.
• Record all product, equipment and warehouse damage.
• Maintain the cleanliness of aisles by removing any debris from floor and racks.
• Follow safety policies and practices at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Related Experience: Previous warehouse experience preferred; experience with pallet jack or high lift preferred; Foodservice experience preferred.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Able to read and write legibly, basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide), good verbal communication skills; basic computer skills; Certification in warehouse equipment.
• Strong ability to get along with others.
• Must be able to understand Voxware commands.
