Job summary

US Foods in Lexington, SC is seeking a backhaul driver to safely deliver to vendors and drop-off sites, with early dispatch between 1:00 am - 6:00 am and long days (12-14 hours).

You will complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, verify freight and trailer temps, and return equipment at day’s end. CDL-A, 21+, at least 6 months trucking experience, and FMCSA Clearinghouse registration are required; some overnight pickups and travel 2-3 times weekly may occur.

  • Must have CDL Class A with required endorsements and DOT qualifications.
  • Minimum six months commercial driving experience.
  • Must be 21+ years old and able to read/write English.
  • Willingness to travel 2-3 times per week.

Responsibilities

  • Safely drive truck to vendors and company drop-off sites.
  • Verify freight, required trailer temperatures, and accuracy of freight.
  • Return tractor and trailer to division when the route is completed.
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
