Public Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a Background Check Specialist to support the Wisconsin Department of Children & Families (DCF) project. You will conduct criminal history, abuse/neglect registry, and other screenings to ensure providers meet safety standards for work with children.

Position

Public Consulting Group, LLC. is currently seeking a Background Check Specialist. This position will be part of the team responsible for PCG's federal revenue management for the Wisconsin Department of Children & Families (DCF), the agency that manages foster care and other child welfare activities in Wisconsin.

Overall Responsibilities

The Background Check Specialist conducts and evaluates criminal history, child abuse/neglect registry, and other screening checks to ensure that individuals such as foster parents, caregivers, or providers meet safety and licensing standards required for working with children.

Specific Responsibilities

• Runs statewide and Milwaukee County Child abuse or neglect background checks on behalf of in-state and out-of-state governmental agencies.
• Populates management reports and dashboards.
• Creates and maintains regular and ad hoc reporting as assigned.
• Develops schedules to meet deliverable deadlines for all assignments.
• Collaborates with management on means of improving efficiency.

Required Experience

• High School Diploma or required relevant experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-2 years' experience in payroll and accounts payable operations or finance, preferably in an automated system environment.

Compensation

• Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.
• Range: $46,100 - $55,000
• PCG does not sponsor newly hired foreign national workers for work authorization, including H-1B sponsorship.
