Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Backflow Inspector to inspect and test building backflow devices, record results, and generate reports for customers in Reno, NV. The role works with the Lead Inspector and Inspection Manager to ensure accurate documentation and timely completion of Backflow Inspection Reports and Certificates.

Qualifications include a college degree preferred (HS acceptable with related experience), possession of AWWA-NV Water Use Efficiency Practitioner certification,

• 1–3 years of fire and life safety inspection experience; NFPA standards knowledge.

Duties include assisting both the Lead Inspector and/or Inspection Manager in collecting data and generating any necessary paperwork (Backflow Inspection Reports, Quick Reports, and Inspection Certificates).# **Essential Duties & Responsibilities:*** Ensure that all inspections are completed on a timely basis and that inspections are done accurately and thoroughly.* Testing of all building backflow control panels, devices, and functions of the system and entering the test results into the Palm handheld device.* Upon completion of an inspection download the information and generate a completed Backflow Inspection Report.* Participate in monthly team meetings.* Perform other duties assigned by management.**Education/Qualifications:*** College Degree is preferred; however, a High School diploma or equivalent is acceptable with acceptable experience.* Must possess and maintain a valid AWWA- NV Water Use Efficiency Practitioner certification upon hire.* 1 - 3 years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as a Backflow Inspector.* Study and learn NFPA standards for the inspection and testing of fire protection systems.
