Job summary
Total Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Service & Inspection Technician – Backflow Certified to join our team. This role performs inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs for fire sprinkler systems and backflow prevention assemblies, following NFPA standards and local regulations.
Overnight travel to customer sites is required and participation in after-hours on-call may be needed. Required are a valid Backflow Tester license, 18+ years, clean driving record, and the ability to
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Backflow Tester license.
- Fire sprinkler inspection and service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of NFPA codes and fire protection systems preferred.
- Able to lift and carry tools and equipment.
- Able to travel overnight as required.
- Able to work extended hours, evenings, and weekends when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
- Conduct certified backflow prevention testing and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and repair deficiencies found during inspections.
- Complete annual, semi-annual, quarterly, and five-year inspections.
- Document inspection results and service reports accurately.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to customers.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
