Garney is seeking a Backfill Operator to join our Texas crew. You will operate machinery to backfill trenches, perform digging, grading and cleanup, and may take on laborer tasks when needed. Local travel is required and prior construction experience is essential.

Responsibilities include safe trench backfill, machine maintenance, and coordinating with the crew on site. This position emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and safe practice in a fast-paced environment.

A Backfill Operator position is available through Garney. To be considered for this position you must have previous construction experience. As a Backfill Operator , you will operate machinery to perform activities such as excavating, backfilling, trenching, ditching, clearing, looming, fine grading, and final clean up. The Backfill Operator may perform functions of a laborer as required.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Perform operator level maintenance on the machine
• Move the trench boxes from the ditch

• 2-5 years in construction experience
• Utility work experience preferred
• Firm Knowledge of equipment operations and maintenance
• Must be willing to work overtime and travel
