Job summary

TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC is seeking a motivated student for a 12-week Summer 2027 backend internship to design, develop, test, and deploy production-grade backend microservices and distributed systems for US user applications.

You will optimize performance, implement robust monitoring and fault tolerance, and collaborate with a fast‑paced team to deliver reliable services powering Ads, Payments, and other core features while upholding strict security standards.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Able to commit to a 12-week internship during Summer 2027.
• Strong coding skills in at least one modern language: Go, C++, Java, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy production‑grade backend microservices and distributed systems.
• Continuously optimize system performance, latency, memory utilization, and resource efficiency. Build robust monitoring, logging, and fault‑tolerant mechanisms to ensure high system availability.
