Job summary

Superset World, Inc. in New York City is seeking a backend / systems engineer to own core data and infrastructure as we scale a AI-powered fitness platform serving thousands of gyms and wellness partners.

You'll design and shipping production systems, optimize for performance, reliability, and cost, and collaborate with the CTO, product, and design to shape architecture and data models across the stack.

Qualifications

• Production systems experience with real users.
• Experience with async processing, queues, data warehouses.
• Ability to reason about performance and reliability at scale.
• Strong ownership and communication to drive end-to-end from problem to solution.

Responsibilities

• Backend services powering program generation, editing, and delivery.
• Background jobs and bulk operations across many users.
• Ensure AI pipeline reliability, latency, observability, and cost control.
• Data infrastructure and analytics for product insights and AI systems.
• Design scalable systems balancing flexibility with guardrails.
