Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Software Engineering Intern, Backend (Summer 2027) to work on high-impact projects within a fast-paced, in-person team. You will ship backend features for a live financial platform while learning from experienced engineers and gaining real-world scope of US financial systems.

We expect strong CS fundamentals, the ability to drive large projects, and interest in fintech. You’ll collaborate across Robinhood’s teams and work with technologies like Python/Django, Go,

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree with expected graduation Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and coding best practices.
• Ability to drive large projects in fast-paced environments.
• Interest in fintech and building fintech products.

Responsibilities

• Own a high-impact backend project from scoping to launch.
• Work with a mentor to ship features on our tech stack.
• Design, build, test, and release software for a live platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve critical problems.
• Maintain and scale code using Python/Django, Go, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, Memcached, AWS, and Kubernetes.
