Speechify is seeking a Backend Engineer for the Platform Team to design, build, and own the APIs behind payments, subscriptions, auth, and the public TTS API. You will improve reliability, latency, and scalability across iOS, Android, Mac, Chrome, and Web clients.

You will work in a fully distributed setup with autonomous teams, collaborating with product, mobile, and web groups to keep the architecture ahead of product needs, deploying containerized services on Kubernetes and cloud platforms.

Competenze

• Backend experience in TS/Node required.
• Proficient with GCP and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure a plus).
• Hands-on with containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong focus on observability, logs, metrics, and reliability.
• Experience automating repetitive tasks and building scalable services.
• Ability to design and review APIs for payments, subscriptions, auth, and analytics.
• Comfortable working in a distributed, asynchronous culture.
